Modeling agency FAQ for brands and models
Short, direct answers to the questions brands and models ask most. If something is missing, email support@modelcontracts.com.
For brands
Who are the models on ModelContracts?
Adults 18 and over who applied with photos, measurements and experience and passed age and ID verification. They cover fashion, commercial, e-commerce, fitness, plus size, petite, male and promotional work. Each model controls their own profile. Browse categories from the hire models page.
How does the agency fee work?
You pay the rate you set for the model plus an agency fee per booking: 20 percent on Starter, 15 percent on Studio, 12 percent on Agency and 10 percent on Enterprise. The fee is shown before you confirm the booking.
Who sets the model's rate?
You do. We never suggest or publish rates. The model sees your rate in the casting and decides whether to apply.
Who owns the photos?
The photographer or the brand that commissioned them, according to your own agreements with your crew. The booking agreement and model release give you permission to use the model's likeness within the usage terms you both signed.
What are usage terms?
Usage terms say where the images can appear (media), for how long (term) and where (territory). They are part of every modeling contract on ModelContracts, and you can learn more in our guide to model usage rights.
What happens if I cancel a booking?
The cancellation terms you set in the booking apply. Both sides approve them before signing, so the outcome of a late cancellation is clear in advance.
Can I bring my own model?
Yes. Invite them to create a free model account and pass verification, then book them in the panel. The same agreement, release and fee rules apply.
What if a model does not show up?
The booking states the no-show terms. You do not pay for a booking that did not happen, you can rebook from your shortlist, and repeated no-shows lead to removal from the platform.
Do you have offices or open casting calls?
No. ModelContracts works fully online, in every city we book. Applications, castings, bookings, contracts and payouts all happen in your account, so there are no walk in castings and no physical office to visit.
How fast can I book a model?
As fast as the model accepts and both sides sign. A casting can go live in minutes, and a booking is confirmed the moment the agreement is signed.
Plans and billing
What plans do you offer?
Four plans. Starter costs $49 a month, Studio $149, Agency $399 and Enterprise $999. Plans differ in active castings, boards, team seats, contract templates and the agency fee. Full details are on the model booking page.
Is there a yearly discount?
Yes. Yearly billing is 50 percent off: $24 a month for Starter ($288 a year), $74 for Studio ($888 a year), $199 for Agency ($2,388 a year) and $499 for Enterprise ($5,988 a year).
Can I buy Enterprise without a sales call?
Yes. Enterprise has a listed price and the same self-serve checkout as every other plan.
For models
Do models pay anything?
No. Applying, keeping a profile, signing contracts and receiving payouts are free for models, always. Start on the page to apply to a modeling agency.
How do you verify people?
Models verify a government ID with a matching selfie and a checked date of birth. Brand accounts verify the person and the company. See modeling agency scams for how we check accounts and the red flags to avoid.
Do you represent me as my agent?
Yes. ModelContracts is an online modeling agency. We list and book verified adult models with brands on a signed agreement, and you choose which castings to accept.
Is any work explicit?
No. We book fashion, commercial, e-commerce, fitness and event work only. Explicit content is not allowed.
