Modeling contract generated from every booking

Most modeling disputes start with a contract that never existed or a PDF nobody read. On ModelContracts the booking is the contract. When you book a model, the panel generates a Model Booking Agreement from the booking details, attaches the usage rider and the model release, and both sides sign before the shoot. Every signed version stays in your archive.

Every term a shoot needs, filled from the booking

The Model Booking Agreement is built from what you already entered in the casting and booking. Nothing is retyped, so the contract matches the job.

  3. 03 The rate you set for the booking, plus the agency fee of your plan

  7. 07 No-show terms for either side

Media, term and territory, stated plainly

Usage is where most of the money and most of the arguments are. The rider records which media the images may run in (web, social, paid social, print, out of home, TV), for how long (6, 12 or 24 months, or perpetual) and where (US, North America or worldwide). If you want to extend usage later, you add a new rider that both sides sign. Read more in our guide to model usage rights.

The rate is yours to set and it goes into the contract

We never suggest or publish a rate. You enter the rate in the booking, the model accepts or declines, and the agreed number becomes part of the signed agreement. The agency fee is shown next to it before you confirm, so the total cost is clear before anyone signs.

The terms that matter on the day of the shoot

Shoots overrun and plans change. The agreement records booked hours, breaks and the overtime rule you chose. After the shoot you confirm the actual hours in the panel and overtime follows the signed rule. Cancellation and no-show terms are agreed up front, so neither side argues about them after the fact.

Contract templates included with each plan

Every plan generates a full booking agreement with a release. Higher plans add tools for teams and legal departments. Compare plans on pricing.

Both sides sign in the panel, every version is kept

The model reviews the agreement in their account and signs. You sign in yours. If a term changes, a new version is created and signed again, and the earlier one stays in the history. Your archive holds every agreement and model release form by booking, model and date, ready when legal or a client asks.

FAQ

Is a modeling contract required for every booking?

On ModelContracts, yes. A booking cannot be confirmed until both sides sign the agreement and release.

Can I use my own contract template?

On the Enterprise plan you can load your own legal template. Studio and Agency plans let you customize usage riders and clauses.

Can I extend usage after the shoot?

Yes. Add a new usage rider to the booking. The model reviews it and both sides sign before the new usage applies.

What happens if the model does not show up?

The no-show terms in the signed agreement apply, and you can rebook from your shortlist in the panel. Our safety page explains how we handle reports.
