Hire swimwear models for lookbooks, ecommerce and campaigns
To hire swimwear models, post a casting that lists the pieces, sizes, locations and exactly how much skin each look shows, ask applicants for fit measurements and comfort with swim shoots, then book on a signed agreement that covers usage. ModelContracts lets swimwear brands do that with verified adult models, a model release signed with every booking and an agency fee shown before you confirm.
A swim shoot is judged on fit, not just faces
Swimwear is the category where a bad size match shows immediately. A bikini top that gapes or bottoms that dig in cost you the frame, and with a short summer window you cannot reshoot in August. Brands that book swimwear models well decide the sizes, the coverage and the comfort limits before anyone arrives.
- 01 Ecommerce product pages with front, back and side views on a plain backdrop
- 02 Seasonal lookbooks and resort campaigns shot on location by a pool, beach or rooftop
- 03 Paid social and marketplace ads that need clear usage rights for each placement
- 04 Size range launches that need several body types in the same collection
- 05 Cover-ups, resort wear and beach accessories styled with the swimsuits
Say what the shoot needs before applicants say yes
A swimwear casting works best when it is specific. Models can decide in a minute whether the job suits them, and you get a shortlist that already fits.
- Measurements and size range for your samples, including bust, waist, hip and torso length for one-pieces
- Exactly which styles are in the shoot, from full coverage to high cut, so no one is surprised on the day
- Location, water or no water, expected temperature and how long the model will be on set
- A private changing area, a closed set or a smaller crew if the shoot needs it
- Hair, makeup and tan expectations, and whether a stylist is provided
- Where the images will run and for how long, so the usage is priced into the rate

From sample line to signed booking in four steps
1. Write the brief. Styles, sizes, locations, dates, hours, rate and where the photos will run.
2. Post the casting. Verified adult models apply with their measurements and portfolio, and you can invite people you already like.
3. Shortlist and book. Compare applicants side by side, check sizes against your samples, then book. The agreement is generated with rate, hours, cancellation terms and usage.
4. Shoot and pay. Approve the actual hours after the wrap, the model is paid and the signed model release form stays on file with the booking.
What a swimwear shoot costs on ModelContracts
You set an hourly or half day rate, the model accepts or declines, and your plan sets the agency fee: 20% on Starter, 15% on Studio, 12% on Agency and 10% on Enterprise. Models never pay anything. A simple example: two models for a six hour ecommerce day at $100 an hour each is $1,200 in rates, plus a 15% fee of $180 on the Studio plan, so $1,380 before stylist, photographer and location. Market rates by model type are in our guide to the cost to hire a model for a photoshoot.
Product page use and a paid ad are two different uses
Swimwear images travel. The same frame ends up on your site, in a paid social campaign, on a retailer page and sometimes on packaging. Each placement, the term and the territory should be named in the booking. If you book a lifestyle shoot for organic social only and later run it as a paid ad, you need a new agreement and usually a new fee. Model usage rights explains how term and territory change the price.

FAQ
How do I hire swimwear models?
Post a casting that lists your styles, sizes, location, dates, rate and usage. Verified adult models apply with their measurements and portfolios. Shortlist the ones who fit your samples, book them on a signed agreement and keep the release and usage terms on file with the booking.
How much do swimwear models charge?
Rates vary with experience, market and usage. A freelance model on a standard ecommerce shoot is commonly in the range of $50 to $150 an hour, and agency talent or wide usage costs more. On ModelContracts you set the rate and add your plan's agency fee of 10% to 20%.
Do swimwear models need a model release?
Yes. Swimwear photos are commercial use, so you need the model's written permission to use their likeness. On ModelContracts the release is signed together with the booking agreement and stored with the booking, so it is ready when a retailer or platform asks.
Can I set limits on what the model wears or shows?
Yes, and you should. List the styles in the casting and agree the coverage in the booking so both sides know before the day. Models can decline castings that do not suit them, which saves a no-show or an awkward conversation on set.
Can I use swimwear photos in ads?
Only if the usage you booked includes paid advertising. Product pages, social ads, retailer sites and packaging are separate rights with different terms. Book every placement you expect up front, because extending usage later means a new agreement.
Are all models verified adults?
Yes. Every model on ModelContracts is verified as 18 or older before they can apply to a casting, which matters most on a swimwear shoot where age checks cannot be skipped.
Book models who fit your sample sizes
Post one casting, compare measurements side by side, book the models whose fit matches your line and keep usage and release signed in one place. See how to hire a model step by step or compare model booking platforms first.
